Fast Technology, November 30, Jiangsu Province, the largest capacity independent shared energy storage project - Jiangsu Feng storage power station in Nantong City, Rudong County, was officially connected to the grid.
The power station covers an area of about 126 acres, in which 80 lithium iron phosphate battery pods are placed, with a rated power of 200 megawatts and a maximum capacity of 400 megawatt-hours, which can be recharged up to 400,000 degrees in two hours.
The so-called energy storage power station, is in the night time when electricity consumption is low, from the grid "download" electricity, to the storage battery charging, and wait until the daytime peak, and then to the grid discharge, to ensure a reliable supply of electricity.
The project is invested by Yangtze River Power, a subsidiary of Three Gorges Group, and will provide support for a new energy project with an installed capacity of 2,000 megawatts (MW).
In September 2023, Jiangsu Province issued a notice requiring renewable energy power generation market-oriented grid-connected projects to build new energy storage in accordance with the proportion of power 10% and above.
